Welcome to the
Orange Lake Community!
Since you now live here, you are already aware of what a convenient location Orange Lake is for shopping, entertainment, and travel. What you may not know is what a strong, close-knit community you have decided to move into.
The lake itself is an excellent attraction offering a wide variety of recreational opportunities. Soon you will be amazed by the activities you see taking place on the lake; aside from typical summer activities of sailing, boating and fishing, you’ll witness waterskiing, paddle boarding, ice skating, snowmobiling and other activities using the lake all twelve months of the year.
Another attraction located mid-way up the east shoreline is the Lakeview House. The historical restaurant is a great place to bump into neighbors, make new friends and bring your guests for a wonderful meal.
I’d also like to introduce the Orange Lake Homeowners’ Association. Originally established in the 1950’s as the Orange Lake Civic Association, our association is dedicated to the longterm health and welfare of the lake, the properties surrounding it and our community. Each month our Officers and Board of Directors meet to review any ongoing matters in our efforts toward the maintaining the lake. In addition to tasks like maintaining the marker buoys and other projects large and small, we host four annual events which include a general meeting each May; a Kick-Off-the-Summer Party and a Christmas Party, both held at the Lakeview House; and a 4th of July Boat Parade. Our membership is voluntary and the dues are minimal at $50.00 per year. We hope you would join us as a new member of our community.
Lastly, if you would like to know more about the long history of the lake there is a wonderful book titled, Around Orange Lake by Patricia Favata, which you can find at the local Barnes & Noble.
Again welcome to our community and please take advantage of all it has to offer and have fun!
